Generation 6 – Development Team
The form factor of the cell allows us to build the system in a variety of configurations; with each cell requiring 2 volts DC. For example, you may have an arc welding system, which provides 48V at 30 AMP as your power source, so the cell size for this would be 24 cells. Or you may wish to add a high powered alternator to your vehicle and supply 6+ litres per minute to the combustion; following are some typical cell configurations
- 12V – 6 Cell (1 LPM @ 15AMP – up to 2 LPM @ 30 AMP)
- 24V – 12 cell (2 LPM @ 15AMP – Up to 4 LPM @ 60 AMP)
- 120V – 60 cell (6 LPM at 15 AMP – Up to 12 LPM @ 30 AMP)
As an estimate the likely cost of the cells will follow this formula, $75 per cell (materials) + $350 build (labour / consumables)
As part of the Generation 6 Development Team, you have access to and the opportunity to discuss and influence:
- CAD drawings
- Material specifications
- Construction and fabrication processes
- Open access to the Generation 5 endurance testing information.
- Mounting and bracketing components
- Header tank construction and form factor (Orientation, Size, Connection Points)
- Electronic Controls, PWM (current management), Water Refill, Automatic Dryer Draining
- Test and performance data
